"Existing in the world we know has a way of cooking us alive. Despite our individual experiences being vastly different in events and circumstances, we face personalities and expectations that increase the temperature of our surroundings and harden our insides. What was once gooey and malleable and full of possibilities becomes denatured, solidified, and resilient to movement.
However, there are a few that put a stop to the ebullition process early on in their development who go on to lead vulnerable and sensitive yet powerful existences. This exhibition highlights the soft and gentle nature of those who possess resilience by remaining self aware and long suffering. They are cooked, but their insides change, and move, and swirl with the fantasies of things that could be. Sometimes being obsessive over their flaws or putting others first is detrimental to their happiness, but their joy is found in seeing how their presence can soften and positively impact those around them. This work is for the soft boiled."
