DAYO, meaning immigrant/alien/stranger in Tagalog, is more than an art show—it is a journey. As a traveling exhibit, it stitches together the narratives of emerging and established Filipino artists, forming a collective tapestry of cultural presence and creative expression.
Through painting, sculpture, mixed media, and film, DAYO invites viewers to immerse themselves in stories where faces are illuminated, identities are questioned, and traditions are reimagined. The artworks engage in conversations that transcend borders, challenging perceptions and inviting deeper reflection. Each piece fosters relationships between artists and audiences, shaping a more nuanced and authentic representation of Filipino identity.
As DAYO travels across the global Filipino diaspora, it connects artists worldwide—whether they define, challenge, or break the stereotypes surrounding Filipino identity.
